Sunday is a thin, 100% merino wool yarn that suits many purposes. It is a non-superwash treated yarn that can be knitted in both single and double strands. It can also be knitted together with Tynn Silk Mohair yarn.
Merino wool not only warms, but also secludes moisture away from the skin. Even while wet, the wool raetains heat, thanks to the structure of the fibre. This wool can absorb moisture up to 30% of its own weight, before it feels wet. Our supplier guarantees the wool to be mulesing-free.
The manufacturer instructs that the knitwear can be washed with a gentle wool cycle, each piece separately. Due to its ability to absorb moisture, the knitwear must be spinned well before drying on a flat surface, preferable on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag at the same time when washing a hand-knitted garment. This can create friction and make your knits prone to felting.
