Schoppel Wolle

Shoppel Wolle has produced yarns for over 75 years, and is best known for its colourful yarn made with a unique spinning method that results in a gorgeous gradient of colour. Each yarn is produced with the utmost care for the environment, peole and animals. The GOTS certificate ensures that the products meets the criteria for ecological and ethical production at every step of the supply chain. 

For example, the merino wool used in Crazy Zauberball and Edition 3 yarn originates from Patagonia, South America. There, the climate is unsuitable for farming, but perfect for growing sheep. The sheep roam free in the vast pastures and they are not troubled by flies, which is why no painful mulesing treatment is needed. The resulting wool is long, soft and durable.
