Who is Santa Pazienzia?

Santa Pazienzia, or Estefanía González is a Spanish designer, crochet instructor, author and content creator, who turned her passion to crochet into a life-long career. She’s from Cádiz, southern Spain, and is today known all over the world for her online communities and courses.

The artistic name Santa Pazienzia not only refers to her unique style, but also her tranquil nature – “Pazienzia” is a twist from the word ‘paciencia’ (patience) which is a crucial quality of crocheting work.

Where did it all begin?

Estefanía found crocheting in the 2010s, when she was recovering from a snowboarding injury and wished to add creativity to her life. She began learning about crocheting independently through online videos and discovered her fascination towards crocheting techniques.

When familiarizing herself with crocheting, she noticed how traditional the patterns were. She began to design more contemporary models and started posting her work on social media. Turned out that her way of designing simple, contemporary and approachable designs interested many. Gradually Santa Pazienzia began to grow her brand and community online. Today, her Instagram account and blog are followed by thousands all over the world.
